You’ve seen their gourmet popcorn retail shops at the malls. You’ve seen “The Silver Popper” at Universal Studios. I saw them at Costco. I saw them giving away free samples. I came, I saw, I tasted. That’s my idea of a good day of Christmas shopping.
Popcornopolis is probably the largest manufacturer of gourmet popcorn and popcorn gift tins. When it comes to food, sometimes bigger isn’t better. Based on my pretty extensive sampling (after all, I was on a mission), Porcornopolis is an exception to the rule. $10 million dollars a year in revenue for popcorn indicates that I’m not the only one who loves this stuff!
Popcornopolis has a dazzling variety of at least fourteen flavors, plus seasonal favorites. The standard flavors, like cheddar, kettle and gourmet white were just fine but when it came to the fancy flavored popcorn, I was blown away by Popcornopolis.
I’m not a huge fan of cinnamon, but the Cinnamon Toast Popcorn really was good – buttery, crunchy and not too sweet. Even better were the versions mixed with nuts. These folks have turned the old Cracker Jack into a beautiful, brand new Ferrari by mixing crunchy caramel popcorn with fresh nuts, California almonds, Georgia pecans, plumb cashews, or buttery macadamia nuts from Hawaii, creating a gourmet popcorn snack that’s positively elegant.
Popcornopolis has done it’s chocolate popcorns up right, using high-quality rich dark chocolate and a good tasting white chocolate (no cheap, waxy taste here). My favorite is one of their best sellers, the Zebra Chocolate Popcorn. They take caramel popcorn, then drizzle it with stripes of rich dark chocolate and white chocolate. I thought I remembered an episode of “The Secret Life of Popcorn” on the Food Network that featured this stuff, so I checked – Food Network loved it as much as I did.
The kids around the sampling station were sucking down the Rocky Road, while the men seemed to gravitate to the gourmet popcorn mixed with nuts. Women (including me) swooned over any popcorn that was drizzled with that chocolate. This stuff isn’t cheap, but the quality is very, very good. Popcornopolis also has made it easy to order by offering Create Your Own Assortments so you can mix and match any of their flavors that you want. They offer different size packages and presentations, including cones, gift baskets or popcorn tins.
I’m going to make it even easier for you to experience how good flavored popcorn can be. When you order use the discount code SPRING20 to get 20% off your order. Or if you prefer, use the discount code FRSHPF9 to get free shipping. Order Now to get delivery by National Popcorn Day on January 19th, and hide some to save for the Super Bowl. Or order twice!
