Did you know that you should take your bananas apart when you get home from the store? If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.

Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating.
Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.

To make rich scrambled eggs or omelets add a couple of spoonfuls of cream cheese in and then beat them up. Heavy whipping cream works, too. (No comments about this dish going straight to my hips, please.)

Barb (one of The Buffaloes) told me about another use for cayenne pepper. Sprinkle it on your plants to keep the squirrels away. The cayenne pepper doesn’t hurt the plant and the squirrels won’t come near it.

    Sneaking in the cream cheese makes them in awe. Now the secret is out. Darn it.
