I’ve explained it before, I’ll eat anything. I’m not a vegan, organic, kosher or even thinking much more than how my food tastes. Okay, I think about what it costs, too. But I know others are more concerned about what they eat, whether it is to encourage healthy eating or a personal preference or political philosophy. These are admirable concerns, and I’ve noticed that many of the foods that are available for people who adhere to certain diets have dramatically improved in recent years.
I’ve raved about Newman’s Organic Chocolate before – it’s wonderful stuff. And I’ll take this opportunity to remind you about Karon Thackston’s wonderful site for Gluten-Free Products, including gluten-free Easter baskets.
My latest find is a company called Native Gardens that makes a vegan chocolate (including truffles!). Not only are they delicious, they are also:
- Dairy free
- Diabetic friendly
- Gluten free
- Low calorie
- Made solely with plant based ingredients
They even have the blessing of Jill Bacchieri-Jones of PETA who wrote “The truffles were incredible!!! Wow!…It’s amazing that they’re low sugar!”
You can find Native Gardens Vegan Chocolate as well as thousands of Unique Chocolate Bars and more Chocolate gifts at Chocolate.com.
