Okay, it’s springtime. Perfect time to talk about fruit gift baskets. Not everybody wants candy for Easter or Mother’s Day. And from the email I’ve been receiving lately, you guys seem to like the organic chocolate we told you about, so I’m guessing you might be equally interested in an organic fruit basket.
For three generations the Webster family and The Fruit Company have been bringing the nation the World’s Finest Fruit, grown primarily in the lush Hood River Valley of northern Oregon. As Oprah put it, “This pair of pears possesses the twin virtues of outer and inner beauty; They’re pretty, yes, but also consistently sweet and juicy beyond belief – everything that pears should be but rarely are.” (Okay, no snickering at the ‘pair of pears’ part of that quote.)
Many of their gift baskets include some pretty high end extra treats, like Dagoba Organic Chocolate, Rogue Creamery
Blue Cheese, or decadent truffles from Oregon’s own Moonstruck Chocolate Co. (if you are looking for organic products only, read the small print on the goodies. Unlike the fruit, not all the extras are 100% organic.)
Yeah, I know, we’ve all gotten those Harry and David fruit boxes for Christmas, and we’re usually disappointed. Hell, I’m disappointed when it shows up in that ugly, brown cardboard box. Instead order a real gourmet fruit basket from The Fruit Company. It will be a healthy gourmet gift, but still beautiful, special and delicious.
P.S. If you really want to kick it up a notch, look at The Fruit Company’s Harvest Club.
