4 Seasons Wine Club is a relatively new wine club to the USA, but has been a top choice in Europe for years. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting two of Laithwaites Wine Shops in London and in Windsor, and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the selection, and especially the prices. Last year, when I first heard that Laithwaites Wine Club, would be available in the USA, I wrote a post announcing it.
But I hadn’t had the opportunity to try the wines in a long time. Recently, Bruce from our Buffalo Wine and Dine Dinner Club, became a member and invited us over for a little wine tasting. I was very impressed. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. Laithwaites was the winner of the Wine Merchant of the Year Award for both 2010 and 2011.
Yep, you still get the usual extra freebies that come with joining a wine club. With Laithwaites, you’ll receive a pretty good quality corkscrew set and the wine tasting notes. But it’s all about the wine with the 4 Seasons Wine Club from Laithwaites. Decanter has delcared “2009 is the best vintage Bordeaux has ever produced,” so you can try the Château de L’Abbaye 2009 to see if you agree. Prefer white wine? Taste the Raymond Family Chardonnay for an elegant, French oak quaff.
And the prices – really very good, especially with the special introductory deal. Join Laithwaites Wine Club and receive 12 Bottles of Premium Wine for Less Than $6/Bottle.
I may not be able to make the trip over the pond to Laitwaites Wine Shops in England for awhile. But I’m really happy that I can take advantage of their selection in the good old U.S. of A.
